Solar Arc Harmonic Periods of Life

Pythagoras

Did you know that Solar Arc Harmonic periods can be key indicators of major life events? As Pythagoras once said, "The essence of everything lies in numbers." and astrology reflects this principle beautifully.

In Solar Arc charts, all planets move forward by the same amount as the Sun's arc. This means that at any given time, every planet in the Solar Arc chart maintains the exact same angular relationship to its natal position. Since Solar Arc planets progress by approximately one degree per year, when a person turns 60, all planets in their Solar Arc chart align with their natal placements in a 6th Harmonic period. (Note that this timing may shift slightly, as the progression rate isn’t exactly one degree per year in every zodiac sign.)

To determine which Harmonic period a birth chart is experiencing at a given time, you can use our tool here. This tool also provides detailed explanations of each Harmonic period.

The Significance of Harmonic Periods

Solar Arc Harmonic periods can serve as indicators of significant life events, but for them to be accurate, the corresponding Harmonics must be prominent in the natal chart. It’s important to remember that only what is promised in the natal chart can manifest in life.

For example, the 5th Harmonic is associated with creative energy. Individuals with a strong 5th Harmonic emphasis in their birth chart often exhibit exceptional creativity.

25th Harmonics: A Blueprint for Groundbreaking Discoveries

The late David Hamblin, a master of Harmonic astrology, described the 25th Harmonic as "creating order within order - reshaping oneself and the external world in an original way."

Graham Bell Invention

A fascinating example of this can be seen in Alexander Graham Bell’s chart. His chart prominently features an extraordinary 5th Harmonic pattern. To explore a detailed analysis, you can read this article here. His chart suggests groundbreaking achievements. Remarkably, when Bell invented the telephone on March 10, 1876, he was in a 25th Harmonic Solar Arc period. During this time, all planets in his Solar Arc chart were in conjunction, as shown on the chart here.

A similar phenomenon is evident in Albert Einstein’s chart. In 1921, when Einstein was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on the photoelectric effect, he was also in a 25th Harmonic Solar Arc period - just like Graham Bell. (You can examine the related chart in Appendix 1.)

Einstein’s birth chart also prominently features the 5th Harmonic, reinforcing the idea that his groundbreaking discoveries were destined. His Nobel Prize wasn’t just about theory - it paved the way for modern physics, influencing scientists like Heisenberg, Schrödinger and Bohr. His discoveries shaped modern technology, energy solutions, and our understanding of the universe.

The Legacy of Harmonic Patterns

Astrology’s ability to shed light on events goes beyond an individual’s lifetime. Even 60 years after Einstein’s death, during his 30th Harmonic Solar Arc period (5x2x2x2 - a blend of 5th and 2nd Harmonic qualities), scientists made a monumental discovery. They detected gravitational waves in spacetime - ripples predicted by Einstein a century earlier but never before observed. These waves, caused by the collision of two black holes 1.3 billion years ago, released energy 50 times greater than that of all visible light in the universe at that moment. This discovery confirmed Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity, opening a new way to observe the universe - not just by seeing but by "hearing" cosmic events.

This demonstrates that while people may pass away, their birth charts continue to influence events.

Another striking example of this is Anne Frank’s chart. Her chart features an unusual 7th Harmonic emphasis, symbolising a natural flow of inspiration and a connection beyond the visible world. Though Anne Frank passed away at just 14 years old, her words continue to inspire the world. You can find a detailed Harmonic analysis of her birth chart in this article here.

Even after her passing, significant events related to her legacy occurred during her 21st Harmonic period.

Conclusion

These examples show that the Harmonic period we are in can illuminate real-world events - provided they align with the birth chart’s potential. Recognising these numerical patterns can help us make sense of life’s unfolding events and deeper meanings.

Appendix

  1. Appendix 1: Albert Einstein’s 25th Harmonic Solar Arc Period and His Nobel Prize
  2. In this chart below, we see Einstein’s natal 25th harmonic chart on the inside and his solar 25th harmonic chart on the outside, set for the day he was awarded the Nobel Prize. This is a great example of how an applying aspect in the 25th harmonic chart can manifest in real life.

The 25th harmonic chart represents the 360°/25 = 14.4° aspect in the main natal chart. In Einstein’s case, the angular distance between his natal Sun and the solar arc Sun is 43.43°. The exact 25th harmonic aspect we’re looking for would be 14.4° × 3 = 43.2°. This means the aspect orb is 43.43° – 43.2° = 0.23°, which translates to 0°13' (13 minutes of arc).

Since this is an applying aspect, it suggests that the event’s impact on Earth - Einstein’s recognition and influence - would become even more tangible in the days that followed.

End Note: In the chart, we see an applying aspect of nearly 6 degrees in the 25th harmonic chart, which might seem like a large orb. However, in harmonic charts, all measurements are multiplied by the harmonic number. In this case, a 13-minute orb in the main chart expands to 13 minutes × 25 = 325 minutes, which converts to 325/60 = 5.4 degrees in the 25th harmonic chart.

Harmonic charts provide a clearer visualisation of aspects, but in reality, they represent subtle and intricate aspects in the main birth chart - ones that are not easily detected using traditional Ptolemaic aspects.

After all, you can determine the harmonic solar period of life using this harmonic calculator. (See the example result screen for Einstein’s Nobel Prize Day harmonic calculation in Appendix 5.)

  3. Appendix 2: Einstein’s 30th Harmonic Solar Arc and the Discovery of Gravitational Waves
  4. The chart below shows Einstein’s natal 30th harmonic chart on the inside and his solar 30th harmonic chart on the outside, set for the day scientists detected gravitational waves in spacetime - ripples that Einstein had predicted a century earlier.

The 30th harmonic represents the 360°/30 = 12° aspect in the main chart. This harmonic contains elements of both the 5th and 2nd harmonics (5 × 2 × 2 × 2), with the repeated presence of "2-ness" indicating dynamic movement and action. This creates an energy that, when consciously directed, can be highly constructive.

In the 30th harmonic chart, we observe a 2-degree applying orb between natal and solar arc planets. In the main natal chart, the corresponding angular distance is 131.92°. Since the exact 30th harmonic aspect would be 12° × 11 = 132°, the resulting orb is:

132° – 131.92° = 0.08°, which translates to 5 minutes of arc in the main chart.

This precise alignment further highlights the significance of harmonic charts in revealing subtle yet powerful astrological connections that might otherwise go unnoticed in traditional aspect analysis.

  5. Appendix 3: Anne Frank’s 21st Harmonic Solar Arc and the Publication of Her Diary
  6. The chart below shows Anne Frank’s natal 21st harmonic chart on the inside and her solar 21st harmonic chart on the outside, set for the day her diary was published as Het Achterhuis (The Secret Annex) in Dutch.

In the 21st harmonic chart, all planets conjunct within 1.5 degrees, which translates to an orb of 4 minutes in the main birth and solar arc charts. This is derived from the 15-degree aspect in the 21st harmonic, which equals 90 minutes of arc. Since harmonic charts magnify aspects, we divide by 21:

90 minutes ÷ 21 ≈ 4 minutes of arc in the main chart.

What Does the 21st Harmonic Represent?

The 21st harmonic is a blend of the 7th and 3rd harmonics, combining deep introspection, creativity, and fluidity. Events linked to this harmonic tend to unfold in a way that fosters acceptance and appreciation of life’s unfolding story.

Together, the 21st harmonic inspires artistic expression, creative breakthroughs, and a fascination with mystical or spiritual themes. It represents a unique blend of intellectual depth and emotional resonance, which can manifest in powerful, transformative works - such as Anne Frank’s diary, which continues to touch hearts worldwide.
